About Us

The Studio Orchestra at FSU began with a vision and a need at Florida State University. Music students have the opportunity to perform in a variety of ensembles including wind bands, orchestras and choirs, but there was no studio orchestra.

Studio orchestras are the modern orchestra and are very common for musicians to work with. We sought to create this experience here in Tallahassee to better prepare music students for different settings in the modern musician's career.

We hope to bring a new type of performance and experience to the students, faculty, and staff here at Florida State University while also inspiring young composers and arrangers, bringing everyone together through great music and novel opportunities.
